Job Announcement: Senior Financial Controller / Department Finance & Controlling 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Controller to join our team;
As a senior professional in this position, it is strictly required that you bring an advanced understanding of IFRS procedures, alongside extensive, hands-on experience managing accounting reporting and financial closing processes;
In this senior role, you will take ownership of our internal budgeting, and business process steering. You will work closely with various departments to ensure optimal financial performance, support strategic decision-making, and ensure strict compliance with international accounting standards;
Furthermore, because this role requires cross-border communication and coordination, fluency in both English and Portuguese is a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and oversee comprehensive accounting reporting and month-end/year-end closing procedures;
• Ensure total compliance and correct application of  IFRS procedures across all financial reporting;
• Coordinate and oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes across the organization;
• Prepare regular financial reports, in-depth analyses, and variance assessments to track budget execution;
• Develop, optimize, and automate KPIs, dashboards, and reporting instruments to ensure effective business steering;
• Perform internal accounting tasks, including the accurate calculation and allocation of indirect costs;
• Understand, interpret, and independently develop concepts for business processes and data systems;
• Actively support and lead cross-departmental optimization and strategic financial data accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: A university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Controlling, Business Informatics, or a related field
• Experience: Proven experience operating in a Senior Financial Controller 

Hard Skills: 

• Strictly Mandatory: Fluent proficiency in both English and Portuguese;
• Strictly Mandatory: Advanced knowledge of and hands-on experience with IFRS procedures;
• Strictly Mandatory: Extensive experience in accounting reporting and financial closing;
• Experience at a Big Four firm is strictly mandatory;
• It's very important to work with a Big Four mental model;
• Essential extensive experience with international companies;
• Preferable: Past experience working within a healthcare service provider;
• Good experience in Internal Controls Development;
• Experience in the Services Sector;
• We are looking for a highly technical and hands-on candidate;
• Experience with Contmatic;
